International’s Fellowships

November 26 @ 10:00 pm - 11:30 pm

The word “International” can sound intimidating, as if it refers to people from foreign countries or global conferences. Within Rachel Global Ministry, however, the meaning is simple and local.

The ministry is composed of two main groups:

1. Students – Those who are still at university, actively studying.
2. Internationals – A name given to the professionals who have completed their studies, qualified, and are now working in their various fields outside the university environment.

Thus, an International Fellowship is the gathering that takes place when these professionals return to the university campus to fellowship with and lead the current students.

This fellowship is not merely a social hour. It is a purposeful, inter generational transfer of wisdom, experience, and encouragement. The professionals intentionally use their time to:

· Encourage the students – Many students feel overwhelmed, uncertain, or anxious about their future. The professionals speak hope and strength into them.
· Give career advice – Practical guidance on how to choose career paths, navigate internships, perform well in interviews, and succeed in the workplace.
· Give supportive advice from experience – The professionals have been exactly where the students now stand. They can say, “I remember feeling that same fear. Here is what I learned.”
· Address specific student challenges – Financial struggles, academic pressure, relationship issues, and doubts about the future are discussed openly and honestly.
· Strengthen and assure – Students worry about whether they will find jobs, whether they will succeed, and whether their faith will survive in a busy, secular working world. The professionals give them tangible assurances: “We are in the field. You will not be alone. It is possible to thrive without compromising your faith.”
· Set the stage – By their very presence, the professionals demonstrate that there is life after university, that employment is possible, and that God goes before them.

Building a Chain of Connection

One of the most practical outcomes of International Fellowship is the chain of connection that forms between students and professionals. When a student eventually graduates and enters the professional world, they already know people in the ministry who are there.
This chain enables Sharing of job opportunities, business ideas, advice on how to thrive in employment, strategies to keep the faith while busy with work.

International Fellowship generally bridges the Gap Between School and the World
