SUMMARY:Family Visits
DESCRIPTION:While Family Fellowship is a regular monthly gathering for all members\, Family Visits are different. They are intentional\, specific follow-up visits conducted by a smaller team\, typically composed of some leaders together with a few other members. The visit is directed to one particular member and their family. \nThe purpose of a Family Visit is not routine fellowship. It is pastoral care in action – going to ascertain the real situation of a member who may be struggling\, distant\, or in pain. \nFamily Visits are triggered by specific circumstances\, including but not limited to: \n\nWhen a member has been “lost” or absent for a significant period without explanation.\nWhen a member is facing real life challenges – financial hardship\, illness\, marital difficulties\, or other pressing problems.\nAs a follow-up after great loss – for example\, a member who has recently lost a spouse\, a child\, or a job.\nWhen a member has become unavailable or less active in the activities of the ministry\, and the reasons are unknown.\nWhen there is a suspicion that a member may be unhappy – possibly annoyed with another member\, offended by something that happened in the ministry\, or disillusioned with the direction of activities.\nTo simply check – whether the member has any problem at all that they have not shared publicly.\n\nThe goal is never to accuse or pressure. The goal is to hold the member up – to check specifically how they are doing during a challenging period\, to let them know they have not been forgotten\, and to offer practical help if needed. Even when the member has pulled away without explanation\, the visit communicates one powerful message: You matter to us. We noticed you were gone. We came to find you. \nMatthew 25:36 – “I was sick and you looked after me\, I was in prison and you came to visit me.” \n

SUMMARY:Rachel's Homecoming
DESCRIPTION:Once every year\, Rachel Global Ministry pauses all regular activities and calls every single member to gather in one place. This gathering is officially called the Homecoming. \nThe name is intentional. The ministry deliberately avoids calling it an “Annual General Meeting” (AGM) because that term sounds too official\, too serious\, and too much like a corporate boardroom. Instead\, “Homecoming” captures the warmth\, familiarity\, and joy of family members returning to a shared home after time apart. \nEvery member of Rachel Global Ministry – regardless of how active or inactive they have been during the year. This includes: \n· Those who have missed the regular Family Fellowships.\n· Those who could not attend international fellowships.\n· Those who did not participate in Family Visits or missions.\n· Those who have been completely absent from almost everything. \nThe Homecoming is the great equalizer and the great reuniter. It assumes that life happens\, schedules clash\, and energy runs low – but once a year\, everyone can make an effort to return.\nThe Homecoming has several vital components: \n1. Seeing each other – The most important part is simply looking into each other’s faces\, greeting one another\, and confirming that everyone is alive\, well\, and still standing. Members check on each other with questions like\, “How have you really been?” and “Life hasn’t been too harsh on you\, I hope?” \n2. Taking account – The ministry leaders give a full account of what has been happening throughout the year. Many things happen behind the scenes or across different communication channels that members may not have followed. The Homecoming is the time when leadership explains and brings members into understanding of:\n· Various programs that have been running.\n· Projects the ministry has completed or advanced.\n· Plans for the coming year. \n3. Member input and approval – Members are not passive listeners. They have a voice. They can approve or disapprove some of the leadership’s suggestions for the future. This is similar to the voting/approval function of a general meeting\, but done in the warm atmosphere of a homecoming. \n4. Fellowship and fun – As with all Rachel Global Ministry programs\, fun is central. Laughter\, games\, shared meals\, and joyful celebration are woven throughout the gathering.

SUMMARY:Family Fellowship
DESCRIPTION:Family Fellowship is the monthly heartbeat of relationship building within Rachel Global Ministry. Once each month of the year\, a specific date is selected. On that date\, all members of the ministry come together to visit the home of one member family. That family serves as the host for that month’s gathering. \nThe core purpose of Family Fellowship is not merely to pray together or hold another meeting. It is designed to take relationships far beyond the superficial level of seeing each other on the street\, at formal fellowships\, or during ministry events. The goal is authentic\, deep knowing: knowing where each member comes from\, knowing their spouse\, knowing their children\, understanding their home environment\, and even becoming familiar with some of their relatives. \nIn a busy world where many church and ministry relationships remain shallow\, Family Fellowship intentionally creates space for vulnerability\, trust\, and genuine friendship. It answers the question\, “How can we truly carry each other’s burdens if we do not truly know each other’s lives?” \nWhen the members gather at the host family’s home\, several activities take place in a natural flow: \n1. Prayer together – The group joins in united prayer\, lifting up shared concerns and giving thanks.\n2. Prayer for the home – Specific prayer is offered over the house itself\, declaring peace\, protection\, and God’s presence over that dwelling place.\n3. Prayer for the family – The host family members (spouse\, children\, and any relatives present) are prayed for by name.\n4. Prayer for the children – Special attention is given to praying for the spiritual\, physical\, and academic futures of the children in the home.\n5. Eating together – A shared meal is central. Eating together builds fellowship in ways that mere conversation cannot.\n6. Fun and catching up – Laughter\, stories\, updates on personal news\, and relaxed conversation fill the time. Members catch up on what has happened in each other’s lives since the last gathering. \nActs 2:46 – “Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.” \nFamily Fellowship transforms “ministry members” into true spiritual family. It answers the human longing to be known\, cared for\, and remembered outside of formal religious settings.
